Business Terms

The agreement between TreatHour and businesses that list on it: plans, payments, payouts, your policy and your responsibilities.

Last updated

These Business Terms are an agreement between Craza Technologies Limited (RC 9932233), trading as TreatHour ("we", "us"), and the business that lists on TreatHour ("you"). The person who creates the business profile accepts them for the business and confirms they are 18 or over and allowed to do so. Our Terms of Use, Cancellations, refunds and charges, Review guidelines and Privacy Policy also apply.

1. Your listing

  • Give true, up-to-date information: your business name, address, services, prices, opening hours, photos and team. Only upload photos you have the right to use.
  • Our team reviews every new business before it goes live. We may refuse a listing, or ask you to change something, for example a misleading photo or description.
  • Put your pin where your business really is. If you work from home you can show only your area (about 1 km), not your exact address.
  • Customers can search by who you serve and, on plans with a team, by a team member's gender if you choose to add it. Only add it with that person's agreement.

2. Plans and billing

  • The Free plan includes your listing, online bookings, the walk-in queue and your QR code. Paid plans add tools such as your own website, team calendars and marketing. Current prices and features are on the pricing page, in naira.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly, by card through Paystack, and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Only the owner can change or cancel the plan.
  • Free trials: where a plan has one, no card is needed and each business can have one trial. When it ends you go back to Free unless you choose to pay. We remind you a few days before.
  • Moving to a bigger plan: we charge your saved card the difference for the rest of the current month (nothing if it's under ₦50), and the new plan starts straight away. If we can't charge your saved card, you can pay for the new plan in full at checkout instead: that starts a new monthly period, and your old plan then ends without a refund. Until that payment goes through you stay on your old plan.
  • Moving to a smaller plan happens at the end of the month you've paid for.
  • Cancelling: you keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for, then go back to Free. You can undo the cancellation before then. We don't refund part-months. Cancelling a free trial, or a plan whose last renewal payment failed, ends it straight away.
  • If a renewal payment fails, you keep your plan for 3 more days while you pay. After that you go back to Free.
  • Going back to Free never deletes anything: your settings are kept, and your website address sends customers to your TreatHour page until you upgrade again.
  • Plan & billing lists your recent plan payments, each with a PDF receipt (ask us for an older one).

Price changes: if we change the price of your plan for businesses already on it (or of a plan you're switching to), we email the owner when we make the change, and the new price applies from your next monthly payment on that plan, so you can switch plans or cancel first. If you've already cancelled, nothing more is charged. We may also change what a plan includes; the pricing page always shows what each plan includes now.

Payments made by mistake (for example paying twice): our team is alerted and refunds them by hand in Paystack. Tell us if you spot one.

3. Bookings and how customers pay

  • You appoint TreatHour as your limited agent to collect payments for bookings made through TreatHour (on our website, the app and your TreatHour website). A customer who pays TreatHour has paid you for that amount, so you must not ask them to pay it again.
  • Customers pay your price plus TreatHour's service charge (currently 10%, set by TreatHour) on top. The service charge is TreatHour's own fee, never part of your money.
  • You receive your whole price (after any promotion you offer), with no commission. TreatHour pays Paystack's card fees out of its service charge, and pays the transfer fees on your payouts.
  • You choose full payment or a deposit (a percentage or a fixed amount) in Booking & payments. The balance is paid online or at your venue; when it's paid to you directly, tap Balance received. You can't mark a deposit booking Complete until the balance is settled; if nobody records it, the booking completes by itself 24 hours after the appointment and we treat the balance as paid to you at the venue. Money paid to you directly doesn't go through TreatHour.
  • Customers can only book you online once you've set up payouts (until then they see "Bookings open soon").
  • You can accept bookings automatically, or accept each request yourself. A request you don't accept in time is declined automatically and the customer refunded what they paid towards your price.

"In time" means by the earlier of:

  • 24 hours after the payment, or
  • 2 hours before the appointment.

If that would leave less than 30 minutes after the payment, the business has 30 minutes instead (or until the appointment starts, if that's sooner). If the business moves a request to another time, the deadline is counted again from the move. Our system checks every 15 minutes, so it can happen a few minutes after the deadline.

Example

Your price is ₦10,000. The customer pays ₦11,000 (₦10,000 + ₦1,000 service charge). You receive ₦10,000.

4. Your cancellation policy

  • You choose a policy in Booking & payments: Flexible, Moderate (the default) or Strict, or your own (free cancellation any time or until 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days before; late-cancellation and no-show charges as a % of the price or a fixed amount up to ₦1,000,000).
  • Customers see it before they book, and each booking keeps the policy it was made with. Changes apply to new bookings only.
  • Your charges come out of what the customer paid towards your price, and can never be more than that. With a small deposit you can only keep the deposit (the settings page warns you).
  • Mark a no-show only if the customer really didn't come. You can do it on a confirmed booking once the start time has passed, until the booking's money is final (it completes by itself 24 hours after the appointment ends).
  • If you cancel or decline a booking (or don't accept it in time), the customer gets back everything they paid towards your price, and you get nothing for it. TreatHour's service charge is kept by TreatHour.
  • If you move a booking, the customer can cancel and get back everything they paid towards your price for 24 hours after the change (or until the new time, if sooner).
  • Your website's booking notes can't change the cancellation policy in Booking & payments: that policy is what customers agree to and what every refund follows.

The full customer rules, with examples, are in Cancellations, refunds and charges. Bookings made before 4 October 2026 follow the older rules shown on them: TreatHour's charge and Paystack's card fee came out of the price, with a booking fee that included your damages fee of up to 25%, and a card fee on a refunded older booking is taken from your payouts.

5. Payouts

  • Add the bank account we pay you into under Payouts (owner only). We check the account name with Paystack before you confirm. Check it carefully: money sent to an account you confirmed can't be brought back by us.
  • When money becomes yours to be paid: when a booking is completed (you mark it Complete, or it completes by itself 24 hours after the appointment ends, unless it was cancelled or marked a no-show), or when a cancellation or no-show charge is final (after the customer's refund has gone through). Walk-in queue payments made online become payable straight away.
  • When we pay: once a day, around 12:00 Lagos time, by bank transfer through Paystack, one transfer per business per day. Each payout includes bookings whose online payments were all made before midnight (Lagos time). When your bank shows the money depends on Paystack and your bank.
  • We send payouts from ₦500; smaller amounts wait for a later payout, nothing is lost. A single transfer is at most ₦10,000,000; anything above that goes the next day.
  • TreatHour pays the transfer fee (₦10 to ₦50) and the ₦50 stamp duty on transfers of ₦10,000 or more.
  • Changing your bank account pauses payouts for 24 hours to protect you from fraud (your first setup doesn't pause). We email the owner about every change. If it wasn't you, contact us straight away.
  • If your bank refuses a payout (for example the account is closed), we pause your payouts and email you. Fix your bank details and we send it again (a new account counts as a change, so the 24-hour pause applies first). Temporary failures are retried automatically.
  • Amounts you owe are taken from your next payouts: a refund we had to make after paying you; the service charge on walk-in queue customers you marked as paid by hand; and, when a walk-in's final price is higher than the price at joining and they pay you by hand, TreatHour's service charge on the difference. Your Payouts page shows them.
  • Every payout has a PDF statement. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.

6. The walk-in queue

Customers pay TreatHour's service charge to join your queue (10% of the service's price, at least ₦100; nothing for a free service); it is TreatHour's fee and isn't refunded, except when the payment itself was a mistake. They pay you for the service at the end, online (paid to you in your payouts) or by hand. If the final price is higher than the price at joining, TreatHour's service charge also applies to the difference: customers who pay online pay it on top; if they pay you by hand, it's added to what you owe TreatHour and taken from your next payout. If you add a walk-in and tick that they paid the service charge by hand, that service charge is added to what you owe TreatHour too. Call people in order, and mark skips and no-shows honestly.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Your services: you provide them, not TreatHour. You're responsible for their quality and safety, your premises and hygiene, and any licences, permits and insurance you need.
  • Your team: you're responsible for what your team members do, including what they do with dashboard logins you give them. Only give access to people who need it.
  • Honour bookings. Keep your opening hours, team rotas and time off up to date so customers can't book times you can't serve. If you must cancel, do it as early as you can.
  • Honest prices: charge what your listing says. Don't add surprise fees at the venue for what was paid online.
  • Book through TreatHour: don't ask customers who found you on TreatHour to pay outside it to avoid the service charge, or to cancel and pay you directly.
  • Follow the law, including consumer protection and data protection law.

8. Your clients' data

TreatHour keeps a list of your clients for you (from bookings and queue visits), with their contact details, visits and any notes and tags you add. For that list and for the offers you send, you are the data controller and TreatHour is your data processor. This means:

  • We use your clients' data only to provide TreatHour to you and to them, following your instructions in the dashboard, and keep it secure and confidential.
  • You may email offers only to clients who ticked "Send me news and special offers" for your business, through TreatHour. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you must not contact people who unsubscribed.
  • If you export your client list, you're responsible for keeping that copy safe and using it lawfully.
  • When a client deletes their TreatHour account, their record in your client list is anonymised (shown as "Deleted customer", with no contact details, notes, tags or offers consent; visit counts and totals stay), and so are enquiries they sent you.
  • Only write notes you'd be comfortable for the client to see; they can ask for a copy of their data.
  • We help you answer clients' requests about their data, and tell you without undue delay if a breach affects your clients' data.
  • Customers' data is also TreatHour's own, for running bookings and payments (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Reviews

Only customers with a completed booking (or a queue visit they joined themselves) can review you. You can reply to reviews and report one that breaks our Review guidelines; our team decides. You can't remove reviews. Never write reviews of your own business or a competitor's, ask friends to, pay or offer discounts or gifts for reviews, ask only the customers you expect to be happy, or pressure customers about what they write.

10. Your website and domain

  • On plans with a website you get an address like yourbusiness.treathour.com. If you change it, the old address sends visitors to the new one for 365 days, and nobody else can take it in that time.
  • On Premium you can connect a domain you own. You stay responsible for registering and renewing it and for its DNS settings. Removing it from TreatHour doesn't delete it from your domain registrar.
  • Bookings and payments on your website run on TreatHour, so your website shows links to TreatHour's Terms and Privacy Policy, and these terms apply to them.

11. Closing your business

You can close your business by deleting your account (how to delete your account). Before you can: no upcoming bookings at the business, your last payout already in your bank, and no gift vouchers for your business that still have money on them (contact us about those).

  • As soon as you ask, the business goes offline (hidden from search; its page and website stop taking bookings) and your plan stops renewing. There's no refund for the rest of the paid period, and a free trial ends straight away (and can't be restarted, even if you keep your account). Your team can still look at the dashboard but can't change anything.
  • You have 14 days to change your mind: sign in and choose Keep my account, and the business comes back online (switch the plan back on in Plan & billing if you want it).
  • Then we delete the business's client list, team, photos, opening hours, website, promotions, campaigns, enquiries and bank details, and disconnect its own domain. Its services stay as names and prices only, and its name and address stay on past bookings, receipts and payout statements. Its web address is held for 90 days so nobody else can take it straight away.
  • Money records (bookings, payments, payouts and receipts) and reviews are kept. Download your client list first if you need it (Dashboard → Customers → Export, on plans with the client list).

12. Suspension and ending

We may hide or suspend your business, or end this agreement, if you break these terms, act fraudulently, get serious or repeated complaints, put customers at risk, or if the law requires it. A suspended business doesn't appear on TreatHour and can't take new bookings. Where we can, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right. Bookings already paid are still refunded or paid out under these terms.

13. Responsibility and liability

We provide TreatHour with reasonable care and skill, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. We aren't liable for lost profits or business, or losses we couldn't reasonably foresee. Apart from paying you the money we collected for you, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the plan fees you paid us in that time.

You're responsible for claims by customers or others about your services, your team or your content, and you agree to cover our reasonable costs if such a claim is made against us. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

14. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll show a notice in your dashboard before it applies and ask the owner to accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts can deal with any dispute. Questions: support@treathour.com or the contact form.

15. Changes to this document

We'll update this document when our service or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and earlier versions stay readable below. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you before it applies: we email the owner and show a notice in your business dashboard asking you to accept the new version.
