Staying safe on TreatHour

How we protect your payments and details, and the simple habits that keep you safe.

How TreatHour protects you

  • Businesses are checked by our team before their profile goes live.
  • Payments go through Paystack. We never see or store your card number.
  • Your booking link is private. Booking pages show only the end of your number ("ending 4567") and a hidden email, because links get forwarded.
  • Changing where updates go needs proof: a code texted to a new number, or a link sent to a new email, and your previous contact is told.
  • Reviews come from completed bookings only, and our team removes reviews that break the rules.

Simple habits

  • Never share your card PIN, OTP or password with anyone, including someone who says they're from TreatHour or a business. We will never ask for them.
  • Book and pay through TreatHour. Be careful if someone asks you to send money to a personal account to "hold" a slot outside TreatHour: we can't protect payments we don't see.
  • If you pay a balance or a walk-in price at the shop (cash, transfer or POS), check that the business records it, so your booking shows it as paid.
  • Shared your booking link by mistake? Use Send me a new link on the booking page.
  • Got a message about a payout or bank change you didn't make? Contact us straight away.
