The walk-in queue and the shop TV screen

Let walk-in customers join a queue with a QR code, call them in order, and show who's next on a TV or tablet.

Updated 14 October 2026

The walk-in queue is for customers who are already in your shop. They scan a QR code, join the line, and get told when it's their turn. It's on every plan.

Turning it on

  1. Dashboard → Walk-in queue → Settings & QR: switch on Use the walk-in queue and choose which services can be joined.
  2. Press Print the poster ("Scan to join the queue") and put it where customers can see it.
  3. Press Open now. The queue closes by itself at your closing time, or use Close for today.

Customers pay TreatHour's service charge to join (10% of the service's price, at least ₦100), which stops prank joins. They pay you for the service at the end. If the final price is higher than the price at joining, TreatHour's service charge also applies to the difference: online the customer pays it, by hand it's added to what you owe TreatHour. By default people can only join with the code from your shop; you can allow joining from anywhere, or make a new code.

Running the queue

  • Call next calls the first person waiting for that team member (or for anyone). They get a text or email. Then Start and Done.
  • Done records the payment: Online (send a link or show a QR) or by hand (cash, transfer or POS). Online payments come to you in your payouts.
  • More: Skip (back 3 places; the third skip takes them out), No-show, Move to another team member. Someone called who doesn't come within 5 minutes (you can change this) is moved back by itself.
  • Add a walk-in for customers without a phone: text them a payment link, or tick Paid the service charge by hand (the charge is then added to your TreatHour balance and taken from a payout).

The shop TV screen (Business and Premium)

  1. Settings & QR → Shop screen → Make a screen link.
  2. Open the screen on a smart TV's browser or a tablet, and make it full screen. Tap the speaker once to allow the chime.
  3. It shows "Now serving A012 → Tunde", the next 5 tickets (first names only) and your QR code to join.

Lost control of the link? Get a new link and the old one stops working.

Records

Walk-in queue → Records shows people served, waiting times, no-shows and money (online and by hand). On Business and Premium you also get each team member's day, the activity log (who called, started and finished whom, and when) and a CSV export.
